hat are some organizations that you volunteer for?
Networking has always been something that I feel can help advance your professional career and therefore I am very involved with numerous organizations outside of work. I belong to South Shore Young Professionals, Braintree Rotary Club, where I am the incoming President, and I sit on the board for the South Shore YMCA. In addition I am on the Board of Directors with the Coastal Stars Youth Hockey League.
What’s your favorite local activity to do?
I enjoy golfing at various golf courses on the South Shore and through Cape Cod. I also enjoy going rollerblading or for a bike ride with my kids along the Cape Cod Canal.
If you could clear up one misconception regarding the insurance industry, what would that be?
The one misconception that I would address is that there are many quality people in this industry. In a short time I have come to meet many great people and I am grateful to be in this industry. As in every industry there are people who do not hold themselves to the highest of standards, but within RogersGray we are surrounded by high quality people.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an attorney but unfortunately I did not like school so I lost interest.
What brought you to R&G, and why have you stayed?
Getting to know individuals from RogersGray helped make my decision to join the team. The professional environment that has been created is unlike any other that I have been part of and for that reason I had no hesitation to join RogersGray.
What’s your favorite food and can you cook it?
I am a big fan of pizza and yes I can make it. Friday night through the winter months is pizza night in the McLaughlin household.
