What is your approach to working with a new client?
My initial approach to working with a new client is to start from scratch, by this I mean that I base my recommendations for insurance coverage on the information gathered directly from the client, rather than their former policies. In using this methodology, I ensure that their coverage is a customized fit to their particular needs.
What is your favorite local activity to take part in?
Living and working on Cape Cod and being surround by the ocean and awesome beaches is great, I like to take advantage of our area by boating and fishing as much as possible in the summer and fall.
How do you stay current with policies and regulations as they pertain to the insurance industry?
I stay current with our industry by taking the time to read insurance publications and I also garner a lot of information from different social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
When you grow up on Cape Cod you’re surrounded by a bustling fishing industry. As a result, I wanted to be a fisherman.
What is the #1 tip you’d give your clients?
I encourage my clients to read their policies and pay attention to the details. Don’t choose your coverage solely based on price. Policy A may have a lower premium but it likely has a larger deductible which, in the event of a loss, could be a costly expense.
